America Needs A Vote for God This Election

While making his 50 state Decision America Tour Franklin Graham spoke about the need for God back in the American political process. He found fault with both political parties and called upon Christians to pray for their nation and to repent of their and the nation’s sins.

Leading evangelist Franklin Graham speaks at a Decision American prayer rally held in Columbia, South Carolina on Feb. 9, 2016.

I agree with Mr. Graham that America has tossed God out with their progressive humanist secularism, but I can not lay the fault at the feet of the politicians the voting public chose. The focus of my concern is with the dereliction of duty of the Christian church, and the Christian home.

Persecuted Christians left their homelands and traveled across a dangerous sea to find a place where they could worship God freely and without government persecution. The pilgrims set up a colony in Massachusetts that had a lasting effect on the new nation being born. In fact, the Mayflower Compact was instrumental in the Constitution.

These brave men and women were not bashful about their devotion and service to God. They made sure that honor was given to God in their community. Parents taught their children the scriptures and made sure that they understood the importance of worshipping God in their lives and in their community.

Generations passed and parents stopped teaching their children the importance of faith in God and his place in society and instead shipped them off to government-run institutions where our children learned secular humanism and that God did not belong in the public square.

In the churches throughout the land, a place that once held significance in the local community, and was instrumental in public discourse on all things of societal life, pulpits were being filled with teachers who taught that a Christian’s citizenship was not of this world so they were not to bother themselves with the dirt and grime of politics and civics in general. Evangelicals were told to stay out of politics since it was worldly and corrupt. This left a void which was gladly filled by those who did not hold to Christian values and as such led our government down into the depths of humanism and away from God. The church said and did nothing for decades.

Now we find ourselves where we are today, adrift on the sea of worldliness driven by the winds of tyranny and debauchery. What do we find church leaders and evangelicals doing while the ship of state flounders in turbulent waters? They are supporting a secularist for the highest office in the land.

America needs a revival of spiritual fervor, a new Pentecost which will cause the body of Christ to burn with the spiritual passion once held by the pilgrims. A righteous indignation that will cause the people of God to fall on their faces and cry out to a merciful God to forgive them for their indifference and failures to pray for their leaders. America you have sinned, we have sinned against God and brought this hell down upon ourselves, we have no one to blame but ourselves.

Do we really want America back? Back to the foundations laid by the Pilgrims? Do we really wish to see one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all? Then we MUST put God back where he belongs front and center in our lives and in our communities, and yes in our government. We as a nation need to vote for God in this election and those that are to follow.

And that is the way I see it. What say you?

  1. I am looking for like minded people. I have been actively promoting my candidate (YHWH/Y’shua) for president by making it known that voting for god is an option via write in and wearing clothes with the message to vote for god. I am hoping that some money will come in before election day so I can make buttons to pass out. I explain to people that a vote for the lesser of the two evils is still a vote for evil and that a vote for god is a strong prayer asking him to rule our nation and saying that we place our complete trust in him and none in man. I tell them that he can still an evil hand and turn an evil intent into a blessing. ❤

god bless and spread the word. we don't need many for god to hear us but, we should encourage as many as we can.

What do you have to say?
